Our Story

All Brinny Gems jewelry is handmade in our Seattle studio by Brandi Squillace. Brandi finds inspiration in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and hopes to share that with you in her creations, from the lush green trees to the waters of the Puget Sound there is always something in nature to inspire. 

From a young age she enjoyed visiting local bead shops with her mom and creating jewelry to gift to family and friends. She loved to give a meaningful handmade gift that showed the recipient how much they meant to her. When gifting yourself or someone special she hopes that same feeling is still passed on to the wearer with her handmade jewelry.

In college she worked at a big name jewelry shop and learned about all the different gemstones and types of metals. This was a great learning opportunity but the store’s jewelry all felt the same as every other big box store. There are so many different people, styles and personalities in the world that there should be a wide range of jewelry that reflects that. Thankfully, today there are many more options and artisan jewelers creating one of a kind works of art. That allow the wearer to show off a special piece that speaks to them and their style while supporting small businesses. 

Almost 10 years since her previous introduction to the jewelry world, Brandi has stepped back into it but this time behind the jewelry bench. Being able to create her own jewelry and now share that with others is an opportunity she had always dreamed of and is so thankful for your support to her small business.
